The Bytom team is building a distributed ledger protocol designed to facilitate the exchange between a variety of digital assets (e.g. cryptocurrencies) and byte assets (e.g. iOS applications) to connect a variety of currency-separated platforms and user demographics. Compatibility across chains and technology types is one of the primary goals for Btyom.
Bytom consists of three layers: a “shared ledger” layer is designed to service permissionless and permissioned networks; a “smart contract” layer that supports code for smart legal agreements, DAOs, and other smart contracts; and the “applications layer” for simple, programmable applications.
